Buy Your Brita Filters in Bulk

For the most part I love the Brita ob35 water pitchers. We’re lucky that the water where we live is pretty good, but it still has that slight chlorine tang. The Brita is an easy way to get rid of that flavor, which everybody in the house appreciates, especially the cat.

There are two main issues I have with it. The first is that it takes a while for the water to drain through the filter into the jug. I try to remember to refill the jug every time I pour a glass of water, but others in the house are not so thoughtful. The other is that I sometimes forget to buy filters before the current one runs out, which means that it’s time to go out and buy another one.

If you buy one at a time, they can be a little pricey. I’ve found that if you can afford the money up front, it’s best to buy one of the larger packs of Brita water filters. Each filter is individually wrapped, so there’s no worry about storing them, and the cost per filter is much lower. If you’re a member of a warehouse club, then they probably have a special 10 or 12-pack.
