Baluch tribal rugs are hand-woven in eastern Iran by nomads. Most of them are made in the provinces of Sistan and Baluchistan, which sit on the far south east border. Many more are made in the province of Khorassan which is in the north near Afghanistan. These Baluch rugs are often sold in Mashad. The predominant colors of these rugs are rich burgundy with some very dark navy blue and accents of beige.
